NDT Specialist-technical writing - Qualité

JMJ Aerospace is recruiting a NDT Specialist-technical writing for one of is clients in the aviation field, located in Dorval.The Candidate must respect the following requirements, as minimum, to accomplish the development of non-destructive inspection procedure.

Responsabilities and requirements :

  • Detain a good knowledge of the non-destructive inspection methods commonly used (i.e. : Ultrasonics, Eddy current, Liquid penetrant, Magnetic, Particle, X-Ray);
  • Possess a minimum level II certification in the Eddy Current and Ultrasonic inspection methods (mostly used in the procedure development, other methods are an asset), per an NDT Standard approved by the National Airworthiness Authority;
  • Detain a good knowledge of the materials and processes applicable to the aerospace. (i.e.: material types, machining process, surface treatment, surface finish, etc…)
  • Have strong ability to communicate (to speak and to write) in English and French (asset)
  • Detain a minimum experience of 5 years in aircrafts maintenance and/or inspection;
  • Possess a great knowledge of the aircraft structure, components location and aerospace terminology;
  • Detain a good knowledge of the Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
  • Possess basic knowledge of the Catia and Enovia environment;
  • Possess strong capability to work within short delay and deliver quality product;
  • Have the capability to expose clearly the inspection method limitations in relation to the inspection locations and or parts to be inspected;
  • Possess the ability to organize, schedule and attend meetings and presentations to discuss about any assigned projects;
  • Possess the ability to work in parallel on different projects and respect delivery date;
  • Detain a good understanding and interpretation of part’s drawings;
  • Be familiar with the creation and design of a calibration reference standard, the minimum requirements for subsurface calibrations and inspections (i.e.: the orientation of notches, the type of fasteners, the finish codes, the thickness and quantity of layers required, etc…)
  • Be a good team player and demonstrate assurance in his field of expertise;
  • Have a valid driving license and able to work at different locations.
